Powered by Luke Gearing's incredible Wolves upon the Coast, Bandit Republic covers a 260x450 km slice of Eastern Europe, centred on the fictional republic of Jelenia. Beset by enemies without and within, the fledgling nation is on the brink of collapse. Players take the role of deserters and outcasts, setting out to make a name for themselves in these tumultuous times. 

Drawing on Slavic mythology, fantasy fiction like the Witcher and Rivers of London, the landscape of Bandit Republic is crammed full of dark magic, forgotten terrors, and monstrous creatures. 

The year is 1925, and Jelenia is yours for the taking. 

This release contains the core rules, a compendium of adversaries and a handful of keyed hexes. My current focus is on keying the hexes for East Prussia, which will be released in the next few months.

Fun facts about George Orwell:

  • He was a colonial cop
  • He tried to sexually assault someone
  • On the spanish civil war he wrote that the spainards were “lazy”, some combatants of the group he was in said that they didn’t know why he was here as he was more aligned with the enemy
  • During WW2 he made books not criticising N*zi Germany but the Soviet Union instead.
  • He later became a snitch for the UK goverment, on which he reported anti-racist activists as “anti-white” aside from other things
